In August 2024, Dharma Master Ch'an Yun led disciples on a holy pilgrimage to Burma. This sacred pilgrimage was to visit high-ranked monks and holy worship many sacred places and Buddha relic pagodas, to bring us blessings to achieve Buddhahood. 2024年8月，禪雲法師帶領信眾去緬甸朝聖。這次朝聖，參訪緬甸的高僧大德，以及朝禮諸多聖地和舍利塔，為信眾帶來了神聖的祝福與加被力。

In the News: Local Community Celebrates Opening of Guan Yin Hall 新聞：當地社區慶祝觀音殿開幕
On Sunday, July 21, 2019, the community gathered to celebrate the opening of the Guan Yin Hall of Shiang Guang Shan Monastery on Route 52 in Walker Valley. The festivities included a ribbon cutting ceremony and a ceremonial key presentation, with the assistance of George Sawyer, Town of Shawangunk's Code Enforcement Officer and Walker Valley resident. Town of Shawangunk Chief of Police Gerald Marlott was also present for this significant occasion. 2019年7月21日星期日，社區齊聚慶祝香光山寺觀音殿在沃克谷52號公路開幕。慶祝活動包括剪綵儀式和鑰匙交接儀式，由肖旺克鎮法規執行官兼沃克谷居民喬治·索耶協助。肖旺克鎮警察局長傑拉爾德·馬洛特也出席了這一重要場合。
